Mysteries and Monsters: Episode 98 Boggy Creek with Lyle Blackburn
It's a warm welcome back to one of our favourite guests, the marvellous Lyle Blackburn to discuss his fantastic new book, Boggy Creek Casebook.
Stories of the Fouke Monster came to public attention in the early 70's with both a terrifying incident in 1971 and Charles.B.Pierce's cult classic, The Legend of Boggy Creek in 1972. The success of the film has made Boggy Creek a household name in the world of Cryptozoology.
Yet, as Lyle's book clearly demonstrates, encounters had been occurring for several decades prior to the flap in the 1960's and early 1970's and continue to this day.
Lyle and I discuss his continuing relationship with both the people of Fouke and its infamous cryptid, some of the most notable cases in the book and much more besides.
As always, it was a pleasure to speak with Lyle again and I am sure you'll enjoy our conversation.
